2014 Winter Olympics

  The Winter Olympic games 2014 took place the 7 February in Sochi, in Russia. There
were 88 Nations, 2 873 athletes participating, 7 sports, 15 disciplines and 98 events.
These games were officially opened by the Russian president Vladimir Putin in the First Olympic Stadium. The Olympic torch made a long journey.

   Russia ended the first one thanks to its 33 medals among which 13 in gold while France ended only lOth with 15 medals among which 4 in gold. 

  It was an amazing moment for France when 3 French athletes won the gold, the silver and the bronze medals in one event (ski cross).
 

  Martin Fourcade wao 2 gold medals and one silver in biathlon .

  These 22nd Olympics ended on February 23rd but there are followed by the Paralympics games. We hope  the handicapped persons will be successful too.
